The first ever ESF History Quiz was hosted at King George V School on 25th February, bringing together history enthusiasts from various ESF schools. Team 1 included Noelani Pollard, Christine DaSilva, Giovanni Lucchini, Cyrus Ng, and Anais Lambert, while Team 2 featured Tim Wang, Anabelle Lee, Natasha Lam, Enya Hui, and myself, Chloe Wong.
One of the highlights of the event was a lecture by Dr. Michael Rivera, who provided fascinating insights into Hong Kong during the Second World War. He also led activities focused on the archaeological investigation of a downed aircraft, which sparked engaging discussions among students. For the competition, we enjoyed a picture round and a pub quiz.
Although we didn’t make it to the playoffs, the experience was invaluable. We had the chance to connect with like-minded historians from other ESF schools, creating a sense of community and shared passion for history. We are truly grateful for this opportunity.
Looking forward, we are excited for the next quiz event and can't wait to participate again!
