Students from Island School recently participated in the annual Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference held at Hong Kong University on March 28th. This year’s theme, Rising to Resolution, encouraged young delegates to address some of the world’s most pressing issues. From climate change to conflict, students explored the importance of collaboration and diplomacy in tackling global challenges.
Island School students were exceptionally well-prepared and actively engaged in rigorous debates with peers from local, international, and overseas schools. Their ability to navigate complex topics and contribute meaningful solutions was commendable.
A special congratulations goes to Chloe Leung (Year 11) and Jonathan Chan (Year 12), who both received awards for their outstanding contributions to their respective committees. Their achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the students who represented Island School at the conference.
Additionally, Head Student Ava Au Yeung was part of the secretariat and played a key role in organising the conference.
Well done to everyone for their efforts in embodying the spirit of teamwork and resolution!
