Nicola & Kenneth Bursary Ceremony 2025

The Nicola & Kenneth Bursary Ceremony 2025 took place on June 14th, 2025, celebrating the achievements of 39 underprivileged students from local schools. Each student received 4,000 HKD to support their educational journey, whether it be for exam fees, purchasing textbooks, or assisting with living costs. These students were carefully selected by the principals of their schools for their remarkable perseverance, character, and dedication in overcoming challenges.

During the ceremony the Island School Social Action Team discussed the narrative format of the Hero's Journey, where protagonists born into a world of challenge must answer a call to action and begin their adventure with the help of mentors. Through this bursary, we become the students' mentors and provide the call to action. Our recipients never let their challenges define who they are.

The funds to support these bursaries come from your donations to our Island School Trust. Whether through raising money for the Walkathon or bidding on silent auction items, your contributions directly enable our bursary recipients to build their futures. We hope that you will continue to support hard working students in Hong Kong next year!
