Year 11 Maths Bridge Session: Revision Protocol Launched

Public Photos / Files - DSC04016-1

On February 25, Year 11 kicked off a Maths Bridge session and unveiled an innovative four-step revision protocol to transform their exam preparation. The protocol—Complete, Diagnose, Intervene, Practice—is
structured to deliver a rigorous framework for developing exam readiness.

  1. Complete: Students sit a full past paper under strict exam conditions at home. Practising in silence and under time pressure is essential for building "match fitness."
  2. Diagnose: Using mark schemes, students identify specific areas for growth, turning mistakes into a roadmap for improvement.

  3. Intervene: We then introduce Frosty, our AI-powered Gemini tool. Serving as a personal digital coach, Frosty refines understanding and provides immediate guidance on bridging knowledge gaps.

  4. Practice: Finally, students use the DrFrost website for targeted, deliberate practice to solidify their learning.

The energy in the room was fantastic, with students quickly recognising how this support will bolster their confidence. In fact, Frosty’s ability to provide instant, tailored feedback was so impressive that some joked about the potential ripple effects on the local tutoring market!

With this combination of weekly mock conditions and AI-driven insights, our Year 11s are exceptionally well-equipped for the road ahead.

How parents can help: Please encourage your child to allocate a weekly, two-hour slot for their practice paper - completely free from devices and distractions. Also, ask them to show you Frosty today (currently only available to students).
