Congratulations to our students for winning bronze in the Inter- School Sailing Festival that took place from March 6-8. Over three days, 156 students competed in 93 races, with the bronze, silver, and gold medals decided in a knockout series.

The students who participated were:
Enoch Chau (9EC)
Beatrice Lou (10DT)
Lucas Park (7DL)
Luke Janikowski (9FL)
Elaine Dong (10DH)

Captains:
Charlie Cheung (11RD)
Marcus Li (11WC)

Captains Charlie and Marcus offered their reflections on the event. Charlie shared, “When we first entered the competition, I didn't think that we would place, as we are a new team and haven't raced together before. However, through teamwork and collaboration, we managed to win first in the Bronze division. On the water, we had three boats with two sailors each, and to win a race, we needed our total placements to be less than 10 (for example, 1, 2, 4). By prioritising helping our teammates, we successfully beat the other schools, clinching a bronze medal after a few tight races against CIS. I believe this opportunity was incredibly valuable, and I hope to do it again next year."

Marcus Li added, “The event was a memorable experience for the team, providing invaluable insights and emphasising the importance of teamwork, which led us to score 1st in the Bronze Division despite the challenges."

We're also excited to share that the team was featured in local TVB news. Click here to watch.

Well done to all team members for their hard work and dedication!
