We’re thrilled to announce that Scambusters, Island School’s student-led social enterprise, has been named “Company of the Year”, placing 1st out of 89 teams in the 2025-26 JA x HSBC Company Programme. In addition to this, we were granted the “Social Buzz Award”, “Innovation Award”, and the “Financial Management Award”, proudly continuing Island School’s 3-year legacy.
Over the past seven months, our team of 29 students has worked tirelessly to create The Scambusters’ Toolkit — a tangible, engaging digital safety resource designed for all generations. Despite encountering various setbacks throughout our journey, we realised that every hurdle grants us an opportunity to learn, rethink, and adapt. Through our outreach, we’ve secured partnerships with several elderly centers across Hong Kong and are currently formalising a partnership with the Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC), a subsidiary of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
Our achievements would not have been possible without our team, Island School, Ms. Kim, and Mr. Wilkinson, as well as our amazing business advisors. So thank you all for supporting us in this entrepreneurial journey.
At the end of the day, we’re not just busting scams — our goal is to create an UNSCAMMABLE future for everyone in Hong Kong and beyond.
