On Monday, 21 September this week, Island School hosted an exciting whole-school Inter-House Indoor Rowing event. Over 1,350 students participated, collectively rowing an impressive distance of 321 km —the equivalent distance of rowing to Chaozhou, southeastern part of China! The competition ran throughout the school day and students from all year groups were tasked to row as far as they could in relay-style races. Each house was up for the challenge and they displayed incredible house spirit by motivating and encouraging others to do well. To add to the excitement, the students were up against a strong staff team who were very eager to show their efforts!
Please find below the year group results. Well done to everyone who took part!
