Island School Annual General Meeting was held in the Performance Space on September 19. The ambience was warm and welcoming with round tables for parents to sit together and mingle, as well as participate in the agenda of the AGM. The tables were dressed with flower vases and there was tea/coffee and refreshments for our teachers and parents.
Fatema Jangbarwala, ISPTA Chair presented the Chair’s Report and with pride reflected on ISPTA’s involvement in the initiatives and events to bring the IS community together and keep the IS spirit alive. The Chair’s Report showed a video proving a sense of achievement for the ISPTA Committee and community for their hard work, dedication, and support in bringing the IS community together. Eric Chen presented the Treasurer’s Report highlighting ISPTA’s past contribution to student-led initiatives. Mr. Stephen Loggie reflected on the partnership between the ISPTA and the school which raised the standards of the school and the excellence in results that our students achieved.
We held the annual election for the ISPTA Committee 2024/2025. Fatema Jangbarwala will lead the committee again this year being re-elected as the chair. The full election results for our elected members and invited parent members (without voting rights) can be found below.
The ISPTA Committee is pivotal in uniting the IS community, working hand-in-hand with school leaders to forge strong partnerships with parents. With our dedicated parent volunteers on board, this year promises to be another banner year of achievements!
