What a night! What a comeback!
After many years, we saw a return of the ISPTA Family Quiz & Curry Night on Tuesday, September 30. Island School senior leaders, teachers, support staff, students, and parents gathered for a night of fun, games, and laughter at the ISPTA Family Quiz and Curry Night. In addition to the quiz, the evening offered performances from students, with the audience joining in to sing along, and tangy, creamy, and mouth-watering curries and samosas from our partner restaurant ‘Jashan’.
Six teams played to answer the trivia questions designed by our teachers on music, sports, movies, geography, emojis, maths, and Island School! The trivia started with a challenge of stacking cups with a balloon and ended with a tie-break between teams 4 and 6 of rolling the tissue roll without spilling the cup of water. Team 4 of Y10 families was the winner! The winning team received dining vouchers from Jashan to enjoy their exquisite cuisine.
A big shout out and thank you to the quiz master, Ms Beth Hall; our partner restaurant Jashan for catering the curries and sponsoring the dining vouchers; Ms Mary Vittachi for organising the quiz and the teams; the student markers and performers; volunteers Gloria Chiu, Jasmin Mehta, Alicia Piguillem, and teacher Ms Stephanie Weathington for organising and serving the curries; and all members of staff, parents, and students who attended and participated in the quiz. A wonderful night of Island School community coming together for fun and laughter! We look forward to adding this to ISPTA’s annual calendar of events!
