A salute to the parent and staff heroes! Parent and staff volunteers came together in the Island School Community Garden space to acknowledge the hard work of staff members and parents in making ISPTA events a success. Ms. Nina Gunson and PTA Chair, Fatema Jangbarwala thanked the parents for their time and effort for successful Term 1 events. ISPTA had a successful first term with Curry Quiz Night, Diwali Celebrations and Winter Fair preparations.
Although the Winter Fair was postponed and is rescheduled for Friday, January 23, the resilience and strong parent partnerships are evident in the Island School community. With the fair planned to return in January, ISPTA yet again looks forward to working with parent and staff volunteers to bring an exciting and festive event for the Island School community. Photos of the coffee morning can be viewed HERE.
On the same day, in the spirit of cheering our students before the Winter holiday break and postponement of the Winter Fair, ISPTA parent volunteers sold Christmas-themed plushies purchased for the planned Winter Fair, during break and lunch time on Tuesday, 9 December. Students were also able to use their game tickets purchased for the Winter Fair to buy the plushies. These cute and soft plushies brought joy to our students! The proceeds from the sales will be added to the Winter Fair fundraising initiatives. View photos of the sale HERE.
ISPTA Committee wishes all parents, students and staff wonderful winter holidays and a fantastic start to 2026. In partnership, we look forward to a wonderful 2026 filled with community spirit and support. Happy Holidays!
