Last night, ISPTA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on ISPTA’s community-building events and financial contributions during the 2025–2026 school year.
Chair, Fatema Jangbarwala, shared highlights of the PTA’s cultural events, coffee mornings, parent socials for Quest Week and Father’s Day, graduation reception, parent workshops on the digital divide, participation in Coffee Zoom sessions, MYP workshops, parent information evenings, and the Winter Fair. Together, these initiatives contributed to building connections among students, parents, and teachers. These events were made possible through the support and participation of senior leaders, teachers, students, parents, and the ISPTA Committee.
ISPTA Treasurer, Frank Lang, presented the Treasurer’s Report and highlighted ISPTA’s financial contributions to enhancing student experiences. Examples included support for Sports Awards, House Nights, Year 11 and Year 13 Photo Booths, and Book Week prizes. These contributions and sponsorships were made possible through ISPTA membership fees and fundraising events, with the most significant contribution coming from the annual Winter Fair.
Parents also elected the new committee for the 2026–2027 school year. The PTA Committee, comprising elected parent representatives, invited non-elected parent representatives, teacher representatives, and the Principal as an ex-officio member, plays a crucial role in driving the PTA’s vision and initiatives. The 2025–2026 committee was thanked for its valuable contributions and support.
Fatema Jangbarwala was appointed Chair at the AGM. Congratulations to the 2026–2027 committee. Gloria Chiu, Nancy Ferguson, Florence Wan, Frank Lang, Joyce Lam, Karen Lau, Alicia Piguillem, Sean Saar-Naville, Kandy Sum, and Chris Tanaka were elected as parent members. Along with the elected members, the invited teacher and parent representatives will continue to support the ISPTA this year.
