After the exciting Winter Fair, we had the Lunar New Year celebrations to look forward to!
Island School parent and student volunteers helped decorate the campus with red, festive, strikingly beautiful veils, lanterns and fans to bring in the spirit of the ‘Year of the Horse’. These decorations invite hope and prosperity that a new year brings.
A special thank you to our talented parent volunteers and students for their hard work in brightening up the campus!

Lunar New Year Parent and Staff Dance: 9 February
The Island School inner courtyard was yet again buzzing, and this time with the Lunar New Year staff and parent dance.
Dressed in festive red colours our teachers and parents came together to perform a traditional dance, illuminating the spirit of the festival and raising hope and desires for a wonderful and prosperous Year of the Horse. Parents committed their time to practices and enjoyed the bonding and togetherness with fellow parents. A big thank you to parent volunteers, Gloria, Chris, Christine, Danushi, Eric, Hong Fang, Linda, Liz, Michelle, Wang Jun and staff members who joined the parents for bringing in the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year with the dance.
