After over eighty auditions, six weeks of intensive planning and two fantastic evenings, Island School has selected the winner of STARS IN THEIR EYES 2024. A huge congratulations to Celine Tam, 13F who blew the audiences away with her rendition of ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You’ by George Benson. A worthy winner who showcased her exemplary talent and phenomenal vocal range, Celine, we are delighted for you.
STARS 2024 had over 150 students involved, and alongside our 10 finalist acts, the show also featured our Choir, Orchestra, House band and Jazz band. These musical talents were supported by some fantastic dancers and a student led sound, lighting and animation team. This ensured that STARS 2024 had our highest ever production values from front of house to the back of the stage.
Huge thanks to everyone involved but particularly to our music team, Joseph Travers, Claudia Lau, Cameron Otto and Ben Chu for all their hard work and dedication in the past weeks. Keep an eye out for our upcoming events leading up to the winter break and our whole school musical, which premieres in March 2025.
