STARS 2024 Winner
After over eighty auditions, six weeks of intensive planning and two fantastic evenings, Island School has selected the winner of STARS IN THEIR EYES 2024. A huge congratulations to Celine Tam, 13F who blew the audiences away with her rendition of ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You’ by George Benson. A worthy winner who showcased her exemplary talent and phenomenal vocal range, Celine, we are delighted for you.

Fleming Charity Week 2024
Fleming House came together this week for their annual charity during Sep 30- 4 Oct. The House is supporting Hong Kong Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Island School Trust. Activities included a bake sale, a Y7 and Y8 Relay, Y10 and Y11 Fun Relay and the famous annual sponge the teacher.

Alumni Talk with Sam Hui
We had a fantastic opportunity to hear from Sam, an alumnus of Island School (Class of 2023), who is currently studying History and Politics at the University of Cambridge.

Y11 Romeo and Juliet Launch Day
On Friday 20th September, all Y11 students took part in the launch of Romeo and Juliet for their World Literature Coursework.

Mad Scientist Element Course
The ‘Mad Scientist’ is a Science-based Element course that is designed to improve the investigation and research skills of Year 7 and Year 8 students. Recently, students have been investigating how far a rocket balloon flies, or how the flight time varies, when the amount of air in the balloon is changed. This is trickier than it sounds and lots of pairs of hands and good coordination is required for each team.
