On Tuesday, September 30th this week, Island School hosted an exciting whole-school Inter-House Indoor Rowing event. Over 1,300 students participated, collectively rowing an impressive distance of 318 km —the equivalent distance of rowing to Maoming, southwestern part of China! The competition ran throughout the school day and students from all year groups were tasked to row as far as they could in relay-style races. Each house was up for the challenge and they displayed incredible house spirit by motivating and encouraging others to do well. To add to the excitement, the students were up against a strong staff's team who were very eager to show their efforts!
