The Island Schools Typhoons have truly outdone themselves so far this year, demonstrating a level of dedication that has set a new benchmark for our athletic program. From the very first whistle, the season has been defined by unparalleled participation numbers and a deep-seated commitment from every student-athlete to push their limits. What has been most impressive, however, isn't just the scoreboards; it’s the seamless teamwork and collective spirit that have become the Typhoons' trademark. Whether on the field, the court, or the track, our athletes have shown that success is built on mutual support and a relentless work ethic, making this one of our most inspiring years to date.

The U20 Girls and U14 Boys basketball teams set the gold standard during season 2, both delivering dominant performances to secure their respective championship titles. The U20 Girls showcased incredible teamwork and veteran composure, clinching their trophy in a hard fought final that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, the U14 Boys proved they are the future of the program, outrunning their opponents with high-energy defense and a relentless transition game. Both squads demonstrated that hard work in the gym truly pays off when the lights are brightest.

Over on the pitch, the U16 Boys football team provided the most dramatic moment of the season by securing their championship in a nail-biting penalty shootout. After a grueling match that remained deadlocked through extra time, the boys kept their cool under immense pressure. Our goalkeeper’s heroic diving save set the stage for Alistar Chan’sl clinical strike that found the back of the net, sparking a pitch invasion from jubilant players. Their triumph on the grass has cemented the Typhoons' reputation as a multi-sport powerhouse, proving our athletes have the mental toughness to win even the tightest contests.

The winning streak extended with our U14 and U20 Boys Tennis teams both emerging as Division 1 Champions. Competing at the highest level of school sports, these two teams faced the toughest opposition in the international school league and came out on top through skill and determination. The U14s showed remarkable maturity for their age in the D1 circuit, while the U20s capped off their season with a masterclass in elite-level Tennis.

This across-the-board success marks Season 2 as one of the most decorated chapters in our school’s athletic history. Well done the Typhoons.
