HKU Speakers Visit WW2 History Elements Course
The WW2 History Elements course had a fantastic opportunity to welcome HKU university students and Dr. Michael Rivera, who introduced the fascinating field of Bioarchaeology. This interdisciplinary subject combines archaeology and biology, allowing students to explore the health and diseases of past populations.
Tsinghua S.T. Yau High School Award Finale
Cyrus Ng [13F] and Dorottya Papp [13N], assisted by teacher-supervisor Mr. Cawson, competed in the Tsinghua S.T. Yau High School Award Finale in Beijing, China, representing Hong Kong in the Chemistry category from December 6 to December 8. They won the Bronze Award (with a 10,000 RMB cash prize) out of over 600 teams that participated in their subject.
Wilberforce Charity Week 2024
Wilberforce House had an incredible Charity Week supporting the Chicken Soup Foundation! We kicked things off with a fun duck delivery, followed by a vibrant carnival that brought everyone together. The epic teacher vs. student karaoke battle featured amazing performances from Ms. Weston, Ms. Hjelmeland, Ms. Hall, and our principal, Mr. Loggie, with Mr. Wells and Mr. Davis taking home the win!
Nansen House Assembly
Nansen House celebrated the end of a successful Term 1 with a vibrant House assembly on Tuesday, December 3rd. The event opened with the dazzling winning camp dance performance by our talented 7 Nansen students, setting the stage for a festive atmosphere.
Light Up a Life Concert
The Island School Chamber Choir and Orchestra performed in front of a packed audience of 650 people for Light Up a Life, a Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting Ceremony held in St John’s Cathedral. The ceremony features Island School musicians performing alongside the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir with readings and community carols. The event took place on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 at St. John’s Cathedral, Garden Road, Hong Kong at 7:15pm.
