Quest Week
Quest Week is a cornerstone of school life at Island School. Every year, at the beginning of November, all students engage in a diverse range of trips focused on learning beyond the classroom.
Year 7 and Year 8 participate in year-level programs within Hong Kong, while Year 9 students venture further afield as they choose from four trips in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Our senior students in Years 10-13 have an even wider selection of local and overseas adventures to choose from.
At Island School, we prioritise student agency, which is why our students take a central role in shaping Quest Week. They have developed the Guiding Statements below, which reflect their vision for the program. Each year, a dedicated Student Steering Committee evaluates potential trips and selects the programs to be offered. They then collaborate in designing these incredible experiences, ensuring that they align with the values and aspirations of our student body.
These experiences are so impactful that they often lead to profound learning and memories that last a lifetime.
