Our Houses
From the moment they arrive at Island School, students become part of a supportive and vibrant community through our House system. Each student is placed into one of six Houses - Da Vinci, Einstein, Fleming, Rutherford, Nansen, or Wilberforce - fostering a sense of belonging and connection. Tutor groups, based within these Houses, provide consistent pastoral care and guidance throughout their Island School journey (Years 7-13).
A wide range of events throughout the year promotes collaboration, celebrates achievements, and builds House spirit, including team-building activities, sports events like Athletics Day, swimming and rowing, and charitable initiatives like Charity Weeks and food drives.
The House system is an integral part of the Island School identity, enriching the student experience and creating lasting memories.
