Nina Gunson is a dynamic and visionary school leader who cares passionately about delivering high-quality education and enabling young people to realise their full potential.

A graduate in Molecular Biology, Nina also holds an MSc in Multimedia and E-Learning, as well as her teaching and headteacher qualifications. Much of her career has been in the UK, where she gained extensive experience in educational and strategic leadership, both as a Senior Leader and a School Governor.

Nina speaks regularly on topics including building partnerships, sustainability, classroom innovation, and STEM education. She is committed to fostering an engaging, future-focused learning environment at Island School, supporting each student to achieve excellence and develop a global mindedness that enables them to understand and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Gavin Fausset is a dedicated educator with a wealth of international experience, having taught in the UK, Egypt, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Before joining Island School, Gavin taught at another independent school in Hong Kong for seven years. 

He is passionate about creating a nurturing and inclusive educational environment, that prioritises the holistic development of each child. Gavin is a strong advocate for student agency and actively broadens the scope of school life beyond academics. Committed to his own professional growth and lifelong learning, Gavin holds a Master's degree and an Educational Doctorate.

Beth Hall gained her teaching qualification and began her career in the United Kingdom.  With over twenty years of experience in schools in the UK and Hong Kong, Beth is a passionate English Language and Literature teacher and an experienced Senior Leader.

Dedicated to holistic development and inclusivity, Beth is committed to fostering a culture of care and understanding for students, parents, and teachers alike. She firmly believes in the transformative power of community within a school, creating an environment where every student feels a sense of belonging and can truly thrive.

Kiely Murphy is an innovative school leader dedicated to cultivating strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging, engagement, and personalisation for both students and staff. She believes these elements are essential for success. With a commitment to inclusivity, Kiely strives to create a supportive community where everyone feels valued. 

Her leadership emphasises compassion, collaboration, empathy, and open communication. Through innovative programs, she empowers students and staff, creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

Kiely holds a degree in Drama and Media Studies, teaching qualifications, and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Management, and she is currently pursuing her headteacher qualification. With leadership experience in both New Zealand and Hong Kong, she is passionate about education as a vital driver of personal success and societal transformation, fostering global-mindedness in our interconnected world.

Mae Bromert is an accomplished manager with over 15 years of experience as an Asia-Pacific Regional Controller, where she drove operational excellence and strategic growth across diverse cultures.

Transitioning to the education sector over the past 15 years, she brings a wealth of knowledge in financial management and has a proven track record of enhancing financial performance and operational efficiency. With a strategic perspective on business management, Mae is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment, focusing on positive change and alignment with organisational goals.
