Nansen House Assembly
Nansen House celebrated the end of a successful Term 1 with a vibrant House assembly on Tuesday, December 3rd. The event opened with the dazzling winning camp dance performance by our talented 7 Nansen students, setting the stage for a festive atmosphere.

Light Up a Life Concert
The Island School Chamber Choir and Orchestra performed in front of a packed audience of 650 people for Light Up a Life, a Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting Ceremony held in St John’s Cathedral. The ceremony features Island School musicians performing alongside the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir with readings and community carols. The event took place on Tuesday 3rd December 2024 at St. John’s Cathedral, Garden Road, Hong Kong at 7:15pm.

IB Collaborative Sciences Project
“Rockets are cool. There is no getting around that”, “Science is nothing but perception”, “Science is the great antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition”. These are just some of the quotations that the Year 12 students investigated last week as part of the Collaborative Science Project (CSP) under the overarching theme of “Wise Words (or not)”.

Alliance Breakfast- Nov 2024
This week, we held the first Alliance Breakfast of the year, welcoming notable guests including ESF’s CEO Belinda Greer and Director of Education Mark Blackshaw, School Council members Alec Tong and Ali Ebrahim, as well as founding patrons James Wong and Anita Gidumal. We were also joined by alumni members Michael Lok (Barrister), Pindar Wong (Internet Pioneer), and Justin Sweeting (Clockenflap Co-Founder), along with many parents.

Winter Fair 2024
We’re excited to share that this year’s Island School Fair was a huge success, attracting over 3,000 attendees! This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of many people.
