ESF City Nature Challenge 2025
WANBO are excited to announce the ESF City Nature Challenge. This annual event held at Island School is expanding to include all ESF schools and will run from the 25th of April to the 4th of May. This inter-school challenge has been designed to encourage our community to get outdoors and engage in nature and document the biodiversity around our great city of Hong Kong. The challenge is open to any student, staff member, or parent/family member to get involved. Student prizes will also be awarded for the most species recorded.

Year 6 Taster Day
The Y6 Taster Day on the 23rd and 24th of this month was an incredible success, attracting around 220 enthusiastic students from international and local schools across Hong Kong! The energy was electric as students eagerly anticipated joining our vibrant community next year.

Chloe Awarded Runner-Up in Oxford Legal Competition
Chloe Wong (12D) was honoured as Runner-Up at the prestigious Peter Cane Legal Reasoning Prize Giving Day on March 18, 2025 at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Her outstanding legal analysis stood out among 146 international submissions. Her entry, which analysed the frustration of contracts, was praised by the judges for its compelling argumentation and exceptional clarity—qualities that distinguished her work in this competitive academic field.

IS Shines at the HK Model United Nations Conference
Students from Island School recently participated in the annual Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference held at Hong Kong University on March 28th. This year’s theme, Rising to Resolution, encouraged young delegates to address some of the world’s most pressing issues. From climate change to conflict, students explored the importance of collaboration and diplomacy in tackling global challenges.
