Bridge Program
This week on March 10, Year 11 students in the Bridge Program conducted an industry visit to Town Gas Headquarters, where they learned about gas supply in Hong Kong, met dedicated engineers, and observed the 24/7 call handling centre. The visit concluded with a formal presentation highlighting various pathways into the engineering profession.

Girls Rising- Inspiring Women's Talk
Last week, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the Girl’s Rising Group, supported by Ms. Coull, organised a series of engaging activities to honour and empower women. A standout event was a TED Talk-style presentation held on Wednesday, March 5th, during lunchtime.

VSA VEX IQ Challenge Competition 2025
On February 22, four teams from the Island School Robotics Elements Classes participated in a VEX IQ Challenge robotics competition at Victoria Shanghai Academy. Two teams from the Year 7-8 Elements Class and two teams from the Year 9-11 Class took part. In these Elements Classes, students design, build, test, and document a robotic solution to the current year’s VEX IQ Challenge. This year, the challenge is called Rapid Relay, where students must create a solution for their robots to pass balls between each other, score balls through targets, and clear switches.
