The last day of term before winter break was a blast! We kicked things off with a lively assembly-style party that had everyone buzzing. The IS Chicago Ensemble wowed us with a sneak peek of the upcoming school production, and we were treated to an amazing performance by STARS winner Celine Tam.

Five Guys even joined in on the fun with their rendition of "Last Christmas." Keeping with tradition, our teachers took the stage to sing "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "We Three Kings," and soon enough, the whole school was jumping, hugging, and singing along to Slade's "Merry Christmas Everybody."

We also took a moment to say goodbye to Principal Loggie and Mr. Travers, wishing them all the best in their next adventures. What a perfect way to wrap up the term!

On 17 January 2025, Islanders gathered for the annual Whole School Walk in support of the Island School Trust, which assists children in less privileged situations in Hong Kong and abroad.

Students dressed in various themes, including Future Selves, Iconic Duos/Groups, Mythology, Historical Figures, Cartoon Characters, and Teacher-Student Swap. They chose from three trails: Bowen Road, the Harbourfront, or The Peak Loop.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and donated. Donations will be collected again this Friday, 24 January.

Last Friday, Year 10 GCSE Art students had the exciting opportunity to participate in a one-day workshop with visiting sculpture artist Gail Deayton. They explored her creative process and developed ideas inspired by natural forms, which will be incorporated into their upcoming unit and GCSE Fine Arts coursework. The students actively engaged in the development process by sketching thumbnail ideas, creating maquettes, and constructing their final sculptural piece.

Wilberforce House had an incredible Charity Week supporting the Chicken Soup Foundation! We kicked things off with a fun duck delivery, followed by a vibrant carnival that brought everyone together. The epic teacher vs. student karaoke battle featured amazing performances from Ms. Weston, Ms. Hjelmeland, Ms. Hall, and our principal, Mr. Loggie, with Mr. Wells and Mr. Davis taking home the win!
Congratulations to 10W for winning the sponsored dance gala! Shoutout to Bethany and Anna for their karaoke victory!
Elaine, a single mother and recipient of the charity funds, shared her heartfelt story at our Wilberforce gala about how the foundation supports single parents in crisis after the loss of a spouse to sudden illness. Your contributions truly make a difference!
